King Solomon "Sol" White (June 12, 1868 – August 26, 1955) was an American professional baseball infielder, manager and executive, and one of the pioneers of the Negro leagues.
George "Chappie" Johnson Jr. (May 8, 1877 – August 17, 1949) was an American baseball catcher and field manager in the Negro leagues. He played for many successful teams from 1895 to 1920 and he crossed racial boundaries as a teacher and coach. Johnson was born and raised in the village of Bellaire, Ohio, on the upper Ohio River.
Kennedy was born in Bellaire, Ohio, in 1867. From 1889 to 1891, he played minor league baseball. [1] Kennedy then joined Brooklyn of the National League. He won over 10 games for Brooklyn every year from 1892 to 1900. He had four 20-win seasons, including a career-high 25 in 1893. [2] In 1901, Kennedy won three games.
He played with the Giants from 1887 to 1889, and played one year with the Columbus Solons of the American Association in 1889.
