After crossing into Williamson County, US 41A/SR 16 then continues for a very short distance before coming to a Y-intersection with US 31A/SR 11 in Kirkland, just north of College Grove and just south of I-840 and Triune. At this intersection, US 41A continues north and becomes concurrent with US 31A/SR 11 while SR 16 ends here.

The highway then becomes concurrent with US 431 at an intersection with US 431 Business and they curve to the northwest to cross a bridge over a creek before coming to another intersection with US 31A Business/US 431 Business (SR 11), where US 31A, SR 11, and SR 272 split off and head northeast, with SR 272 splitting off shortly thereafter.
The bypass was named the Mack Hatcher Memorial Parkway by an act of the Williamson County Commission on November 21, 1983, in honor of a former county commissioner and road superintendent. [11] Construction on the next section, between SR 96 and US 31 (Franklin Road) began in March 1987, and was opened to traffic on November 17, 1988. [ 12 ]
