Thomas & Friends (formerly known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends) is a children's media franchise created by Britt Allcroft and currently owned by Mattel.The franchise revolves around an ensemble cast of anthropomorphic steam locomotives and other vehicles, including the titular protagonist Thomas the Tank Engine, who work on the Island of Sodor.
Thomas is assigned by the Fat Controller to collect the circus train, but is warned that if there are too many trucks, he must share the work with another engine. Not wanting to miss out on any of the fun, Thomas refuses Percy and James' offers to take some trucks, and tries to pull the train all by himself, despite it being too heavy for him.
Mark Moraghan later re-narrated "Snow Tracks" for the Santa's Little Engine DVD. This was Marion Edwards' first series as executive producer. This series was released following the release of the feature-length special DVD Hero of the Rails in September 2009 and the theatrical and video releases of select episodes.
