In March 2018, the City, along with the Government of Quebec, announced the construction of a 23 km (14 mi)-long tramway line for $3 billion. [12] At that time, the line would link Charlesbourg to Cap-Rouge, passing through Quebec Parliament Hill via a 3.5 km (2.2 mi) tunnel. The Quebec City tramway was to be in service in 2026. [13]
