Stonestreets Coaches is an Australian bus company operating services in the Dalby, Gladstone, Ipswich and Toowoomba regions in Queensland. Initially a route and school bus operator, it has diversified into providing transport for energy and mining projects and operating tours.
Bus Queensland was formed in April 2009 when the Pulitano Group purchased both the Garden City Sunbus and Kynoch Coaches operations. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Kynoch Coaches was a family-owned business, previously owned by Jason Ward, operated urban, school and long-distance services from its base, in Stephen Street, Toowoomba.
Whilst these private bus operators are not route-regulated or price-regulated in the same way as local government owned providers or public transport providers, the Department of Transport and Main Roads assists private bus operators to develop efficient, sustainable and flexible transport services where necessary.
Translink is the public transport agency in the State of Queensland, Australia, and is a division of the Department of Transport and Main Roads.Translink was first introduced by the Queensland Government in June 2003 to orchestrate bus, ferry, rail and light rail services.
