The Independence High School Marching Band under the direction of Kyle Harrington has grown a prestigious reputation since its beginning in 2019. Independence High School is a public high school located in the city of Frisco, Texas and classified as a 5A school by UIL. It is a part of the Frisco Independent School District located within Collin County. It opened in the fall of 2014 to freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior students. [3] The first class to graduate was the class of 2016.
The first class of seniors graduated on May 26, 2007. The second class, which was the first to complete all 4 years at Independence, graduated May 24, 2008. The school once had approximately 2000 students, but after the creation of nearby high schools, student enrollment has decreased significantly.
