Superbike World Championship (also known as WorldSBK, SBK, World Superbike, WSB, or WSBK) is a silhouette road racing series based on heavily modified production sports motorcycles. The championship was founded in 1988. The Superbike World Championship consists of a series of rounds held on permanent racing facilities.
A new race format was introduced for the 2019 season. [1] As in 2018, two normal length races (Race 1 and Race 2) were held – one each on Saturday and Sunday (Friday and Saturday in Qatar).

The 2020 season calendar was announced on 21 November 2019, with 13 rounds scheduled. [1] The championship visited Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (on 19 and 20 September) for the first time, [2] and a round was due to be staged at Oschersleben – on 1 and 2 August – for the first time since 2004.
