Bunbury Aldersey C of E Primary school is in School Lane. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Boniface and is built on the highest point of the village. It is over 1,000 years old and is built on an older pagan site. This was a collegiate church built in the 14th century; the nave arcades and aisle windows are about 100 years later than this.
The grammar school moved to a new building on School Lane in 1874, and is now Bunbury Aldersey School. [ 3 ] [ 5 ] [ 16 ] The Chantry House was restored and extended in the 1970s by Cecil F. Wright. [ 2 ] [ 17 ] It is now a private residence.
