The Hong Kong Baptist College was opened on 11 September 1956 on the premises of the Pui Ching Middle School, a Baptist-affiliated secondary school, with an initial enrolment of 152 students. [2] In 1957, the government gave the college land on Waterloo Road to build a permanent campus, which was completed in 1966.
It is the first affiliated school opened by a university in Hong Kong. The school was officially established in 2006, and the first batch of students began attending classes in September of the same year. The school has a total area of 12,000 square metres (130,000 sq ft) and the primary and secondary division is connected together.
