Vintage Breyer horses, c. 1972. Breyer Animal Creations (commonly referred to as simply Breyer) is primarily a manufacturer of model horses.Founded in 1950, the company, now a division of Reeves International, Inc, [1] specializes in model horses made from cellulose acetate, a form of plastic, and produces other animal models from the same material as well.

A Breyer horse model of Phantom Wings was made from 1983 to 1987. [9] The mare's second foal – a solid chestnut filly, with no markings, named Wisp O'Mist – was born on 21 March 1961. Her name was chosen from one of the runner-up entries to publisher Rand McNally's earlier naming contest for Phantom Wings.
Khemosabi was noted for having a large and enthusiastic fan base, and a Breyer Horse model was created with his likeness in the 1990s. [ 3 ] In his show career, Khemosabi was the 1973 U. S. National Champion Halter Stallion, and the 1976 U. S. National Champion and Canadian National Champion in Western Pleasure.
