The Ford Super Duty (also known as the Ford F-Series Super Duty) is a series of heavy-duty pickup trucks produced by the Ford Motor Company since the 1999 model year. Slotted above the consumer-oriented Ford F-150, the Super Duty trucks are an expansion of the Ford F-Series range, from F-250 to the F-600.
In 2013, Ford began use of the Platinum trim for Super Duty trucks, from the F-250 to the F-450 pickup trucks. Until 2016, the Platinum trim was an add-on package to a Super Duty that was ordered as a Lariat. 2017 saw the Platinum become a separate trim level. [citation needed]
The eleventh generation of the Ford F-Series, marketed as the Ford Lobo in Mexico, is the company's line of light-duty pickup trucks manufactured and marketed by Ford for the 2004 to 2008 model years. With a redesigned body and chassis, and marketed as its F-150 line, between the company's Ranger and the Super Duty trucks.

The trucks were fitted with the 289 cu in (4.7 L) V8 engine that was introduced in the Mexican market of Ford pickups and medium-duty trucks, producing 160 hp (119 kW; 162 PS) at 4,000 RPM. These engines were also used in the Ford Mustang that was also manufactured in the Cuautitlán Assembly in Mexico.
The PN-96 F-250 light-duty was marketed from 1997 to 1999, with Ford offering two generations of the vehicle under the same nameplate. For 1999, the F-250HD and F-350 were replaced by the Super Duty F-Series; the suspension components of the PN-96 F-250 continued as a "7700" option package from 2000 to 2003.
