Gail Koziara Boudreaux (nee Koziara, born 1960) is an American businesswoman.She is the president and CEO of Elevance Health since 2017, and has been an executive for other health insurance companies including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (2002), and UnitedHealth Group (2008).
From 2014 to 2018, Blue KC participated in the Affordable Care Act exchange. The company withdrew from the exchange in 2017 after reporting a $100 million loss. [11] Prior to 1986, organizations administering BCBS were tax exempt under 501(c)(4) as social welfare plans. The Tax Reform Act of 1986 revoked the exemption, however, because the plans sold commercial-type insurance.
