The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority (Foothill Gold Line) is constructing an extension of the A Line (formerly the Gold Line) east from the former Gold Line terminus at Sierra Madre Villa station in Pasadena. The first phase of this extension to APU/Citrus College station in Azusa, Phase 2A, opened on March 5, 2016.
