Beginning in 1985, LCISD began serving middle and high school students from the Kendleton Independent School District (KISD)'s boundaries. [6] KISD and its one school, Powell Point Elementary, were merged into Lamar CISD on July 1, 2010.
It is a part of the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (LCISD). Its boundary includes portions of Rosenberg, most of Pleak, and all of Kendleton. [3] [4] It also includes the unincorporated area of Powell Point. [5] Randle Highschool offers multiple sports including Football, volleyball, and Track, and even swimming.
