Anna Czerwińska from Poland became the oldest woman to Summit Mount Everest (at the time) at the age of 50 (born on 7 July 1949, climbed Everest from the Nepal side on 22 May 2000). On May 22, at 9:30 in the morning, Manuel González from Málaga and Iván Jara from Sevilla, became the first mountaineer from Andalucia to reach the summit.
