Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle") [b] is a Japanese anime television series produced by MAPPA, based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
Sukuna has 20 fingers left behind as Cursed Objects, and now that they know Yuji can suppress Sukuna, they plan to have him eat the six fingers they have and find the remaining ones, allowing Sukuna to die for good along with Yuji. Yuji agrees, wanting to use his life to save others, and eats another finger.
He dies during an altercation with a "Cursed Womb" at a detention facility, wherein Sukuna blackmailed Yuji by holding his heart hostage, but is later brought back to life by Sukuna. Presumed dead, Yuji continues to work with his sorcery, uncovering his massive Cursed Energy and using it for specialized cursed purposes.
