This is a list of international healthcare accreditation organizations. These organizations are responsible for the accreditation of hospitals and other healtchcare services. The Joint Commission is one of the most widely used accreditation organizations.
Eleven of them—the medical, nursing, pharmacy, dental, engineers, veterinary, medical technology, physical therapy, architect, lawyer, and accounting councils—together form the Federation of Professional Councils of Thailand.
General hospitals (Thai: โรงพยาบาลทั่วไป) are located in province capitals or major districts and have a capacity of 200 to 500 beds.
