IAG Cargo is the cargo handling division of International Airlines Group (IAG). [1] IAG Cargo uses the freight capacity of its sister airlines' passenger flights, such as British Airways , and maintains three hubs located at Dublin Airport , Heathrow Airport and Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport .
On 4 November 2011, IAG agreed in principle to acquire British Midland International (BMI) from Lufthansa, in a deal which would increase IAG's share of slots at Heathrow airport from 45% to 54%. [ 21 ] [ 22 ] On 22 December 2011, IAG agreed a binding deal with Lufthansa to acquire BMI for £172.5 million. [ 23 ]
Aer Lingus Cargo is the airline's cargo division. It uses reserved areas of passenger aircraft cargo-holds. Aer Lingus Cargo is available on all routes to the US from Dublin and Shannon. Cargo services are also offered on most European routes and some routes to the UK, the division subsequently rebranded as IAG Cargo. [128]

BA World Cargo also handled freight at London's Gatwick and Stansted airports, and, through its partner British Airways Regional Cargo, at all of the main regional airports throughout the UK.
