Kent County News is a weekly newspaper published in Chestertown, Maryland. The paper is published once a week on Thursday. [2] The first publication was in 1947, but the paper can be traced back to the Chestertown Spy which was established in 1793. [2] It is one of the nation's oldest newspapers. [3]
The newspaper formed from the 1936 merger of The Centreville Observer and Queen Anne Record. [3] [4] In the 1930s it was purchased by Leon Asa Andrus.
