State Road 3 (SR 3) in the U.S. state of Indiana is a discontinuous state highway running through eastern Indiana from near the Ohio River to near the Michigan state line. The southernmost terminus is at SR 62 in Charlestown , and the northernmost terminus is at SR 120 near Brighton .

State Road 13 (SR 13) is a north–south state road in the US state of Indiana. The southern terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Highway 36 (US 36) and SR 67 , in the town of Fortville , and its northern terminus is at the Michigan state line.
State Road 103 nearly parallels its parent route, State Road 3, between U.S. Route 36 east of Mount Summit and U.S. Route 40 in Lewisville. It runs through downtown New Castle and past the Wilbur Wright Fish and Wildlife Area. It also crosses Interstate 70, but there is no interchange. [2]
The early 1950s renumbering of Indiana highways caused SR 43 to be concurrent. US 421 was extended into Indiana in 1951, and US 231 was commissioned in 1952. SR 43 was concurrent with US 421 until the northern terminus was truncated to Reynolds in 1955 in favor of US 421.
In 1956, the United States, Canada, and Mexico came to an agreement with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, the Automobile Manufacturers Association and the National Safety Council that standardized the size for license plates for vehicles (except those for motorcycles) at 6 inches (15 cm) in height by 12 inches (30 cm) in width, with standardized mounting holes.
