Enemy of the Bane is the sixth and final serial of the second series of the British science fiction television series The Sarah Jane Adventures.It first aired in two weekly parts on the CBBC channel on 1 and 8 December 2008.
Following an introductory episode broadcast as a New Year's Day special, a first series of 10 episodes (5 two-part serials) premiered on 24 September 2007. Series 2–4, each comprising 12 episodes (6 serials), followed annually between 2008 and 2010.
Nicholas Courtney was born 16 December 1929 in Cairo, Egypt, the son of Major Geoffrey William Courtney, a British army officer and diplomat, and Evelyn (née Stout). The first scene of "Invasion of the Bane" to be shown was on 8 December 2006, during a BBC Breakfast interview with Sladen, [2] and was released a day later on the interactive advent calendar on the Doctor Who microsite. The clip, lasting one minute in length, was of Sarah Jane's interview with Mrs Wormwood.
