Sindhi Adabi Board is a government sponsored institution in Pakistan for the promotion of Sindhi literature. It was established in 1955 in Jamshoro , Sindh . [ 1 ] It is under the Education Department of the Government of Sindh .
The institute was provided with a small room at the old campus of Sindh University in Hyderabad. On 10 December 1972 the foundation stone of the new building was laid just off the Super Highway in Jamshoro, adjacent to Indus river. The three-storey building, located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Hyderabad, was inaugurated in 1978.
The term Sindhology to denote a subject of knowledge about Sindh was first coined in 1964 with the establishment of the Institute of Sindhology. [2] The objective at the time was to promote the study and broader research on Sindh, and develop a repository of archives, books, manuscripts, and research papers.

Jamshoro (Sindhi: ڄام شورو, Urdu: جامشورو) is a city and the capital of Jamshoro District, in Sindh, Pakistan. It is on the right bank of the Indus River, approximately 18 km (11 mi) northwest of Hyderabad and 150 km (93 mi) northeast of the provincial capital of Sindh, Karachi. [2] This city is popularly known as Education City.
Kazi received his early education at Noor Muhammad High School, Hyderabad, Sindh and did his M.Sc from D. J. Sindh Government Science College, Karachi.He did his PhD from the King's College, London in 1955 and on his return to the country joined the University of Sindh, Jamshoro as the founder director of the Institute of Chemistry and the dean of the Science Faculty.
