The Claas Cougar is a self-propelled mower produced by the German agricultural machinery manufacturer Claas. The mower, which is named after the cougar, a large American cat, was first presented in 2003. [1] Due to its maximum cutting width of 14 metres (46 ft) it is classified as the largest self-propelled mower in the world. [citation needed]
1947 The first self-propelled mower was produced in the Breganze plant. 1956 Laverda designed and built the first Italian self-propelled combine harvester, the M 60 model. 1963 This was the year in which the M 120 combine harvester was created. By now, the company had over 1000 employees divided amongst three production divisions.
The most common self-contained power source for lawn mowers is a small 4-stroke (typically one-cylinder) internal combustion engine. Smaller mowers often lack any form of self-propulsion, requiring human power to move over a surface; "walk-behind" mowers are self-propelled, requiring a human only to walk behind and guide them.

The Oliver 90 was introduced in 1937, updating the 28–44 with a self-starter and the Oliver name. The Waukesha-Oliver engines came with gasoline and kerosene/distillate options. The 90 was offered only as a standard-tread tractor, with wide front wheels. Compared with other Oliver number-series tractors, the 90s were minimally styled.
The first modular self-propelled trailers were built in the 1970s. In the early 1980s, heavy haulage company Mammoet [6] refined the concept into the form seen today. [7] They set the width of the modules at 2.44 m, so the modules would fit on an ISO container flatrack. They also added 360° steering. [8]
