Elevations in the basin range from 7,700 to 12,554 feet (2,347 to 3,826 m). [1] Valle Vidal is noted for its pristine scenery and wildlife.
Valley of Fire State Park is a public recreation and nature preservation area covering nearly 46,000 acres (19,000 ha) located 16 miles (26 km) south of Overton, Nevada. [4] The state park derives its name from red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone , which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago. [ 5 ]

Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness is located in San Juan County, New Mexico, between Chaco Canyon and the De-Na-Zin Wilderness.Its name is a phonetic transliteration of Navajo "áshįįh łibá" meaning "salt, it is grey (grey salt)".
The park is popular for trout fishing in the Cimarron River and its tributaries, Clear Creek and Tolby Creek. [1] Stocked trout include rainbow and brown. The river is maintained by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish at a trout density of approximately 3,000 fish per mile, although water flow can vary between 2 and 50 cfs.[2]
