Gerhard Fritz Kurt "Gerd" Schröder (German: [ˈɡeːɐ̯haʁt fʁɪts kʊʁt ˈʃʁøːdɐ] ⓘ; born 7 April 1944) is a German former politician who served as Chancellor of Germany from 1998 to 2005.
