Each month, the Jail Library is visited by about 200 inmates and circulates over 1,000 books. Each inmate has access to library service about once every three weeks. [6] In 2017, the library added a Book Bike to its collection of outreach vehicles. The Book Bike was purchased through a grant provided by the Friends of the Library.
The library moved into its new space in September 2000. [1] The building measures 69,000 square feet and contains over 350,000 items. [4] The library further expanded in June of 2010 when it opened a 12,000 square foot branch library in the Murray Scholls Town Center. [4] [5] A new children's section at the branch library was unveiled in 2015. [6]

A second Beaverton airport, Bernard's Airport, was later developed farther north, at the present location of the Cedar Hills Crossing mall. The town's first library opened in 1925. Originally on the second floor of the Cady building, it has been moved repeatedly; in 2000 it was moved to its current location on Hall Boulevard and 5th Street.
