The goal to transform the smaller rooms of the historic Hotel Denver to larger rooms began in earnest in the last five years. During remodels in the seventies and eighties, much was covered up with drop ceilings, carpet, fluorescent lights and drywall.

One of the highlights of the trip from Denver to Glenwood Springs is traveling through the Glenwood Canyon. As the train runs into the deep Gore and Glenwood Canyons, sheer rock walls towering above the Colorado River envelope the train as it glides through.
Crews have already began removing debris from a rock fall that has Interstate 70 closed in both directions at the Hanging Lake Tunnel in the Glenwood Canyon. The interstate is currently closed between Glenwood Springs and Dotsero. The road will be closed until further notice.
