Mānoa Falls Trail is a 1.6-mile (2.6 km) trail on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. [1] The trail is a part of the Honolulu Makau Trail System, and leads to a popular 150 foot waterfall called Manoa Falls. [2] Hiking the trail is approximately a one-hour round trip. [1] Many tourists are attracted to the waterfall and scenery throughout the trail.
The 6-mile (9.7 km) Tantalus Loop was a popular wagon trail from the late 1800s for views and picnic parties. It had "rugged canyons, wooded valleys, aromatic eucalyptus giants, stag-horn fern, pungent guava", monkeypod, shower cassias, and myrtle, with a two-room, corrugated-roofed "Half-Way House", managed by 1900s forester David Haugh, offering a welcome stop for trekkers.

A 27 year old man died from falling from the top of Mānoa Falls on December 17, 2018. [6] The man's name has yet to be released. Phillip Scott Mann fell from the top of the falls and died on April 11, 2012. His body was not found until around 2p.m. the following day April 12th. Cause of death was blunt force trauma from the almost 200ft fall.
