The Valley Press was founded by A.J. Hicks on Saturday, April 3, 1915, as the Palmdale Post. At the time, the Valley was home to about 3,500 people. Over the decades of the 20th century, the newspaper changed hands, and there were a few name changes as well. On May 4, 1950, the paper became known as the South Antelope Valley Press. [3]
Danville Township is a township in Vermilion County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 32,113 and it contained 13,913 housing units. [ 2 ] Danville Area Community College and the Illinois Department Of Corrections Danville Correctional Facility are in this township.

The paper was previously published as The Danville Register and The Bee. [2] The two were merged on July 1, 1989. [3] The Register was founded as The Daily Register, in February 1882. [4] The Bee was founded as the Danville Daily Bee, in 1899. [5]
