  2. Is the Costco Automobile purchasing program worth using?

    www.reddit.com/.../175c28x/is_the_costco_automobile_purchasing_program_worth

Some people just love haggling and negotiating. If you’re not one of those people, then think about what your time and sanity is worth. If it’s not worth $3-500 on a $50k car, then maybe you should reevaluate purchasing a brand new car. That’s a product of a good dealership, not the Costco program.

  3. What has your experience been with using Costco to buy a car?

Also did the Costco program and got a call from the Costco dealer that was straightforward and gave me a price that beat every other car dealer by a few thousand. I then gave the dealer that had my car (clutch failed and it was a $4k fix on a $2-3k car) an opportunity to match since that’s where I test drove and they had been honest with some ...

Costco Auto experience, January 2023. [Costco Auto Program] I just purchased an Outback using the Costco Auto program, and thought I'd share my experience in case anyone out there is curious how it works now post-pandemic (as I was before I purchased). BACKGROUND: I've used Costco Auto twice before, and am generally happy with the experience.

  5. Is the Costco auto buying program worth it? : r/askcarsales -...

Costco is picky about what dealers it allows to represent it. The CostCo buying program is a mixed bag. A lot of the deals going through there are going to be little or no profit. Seems like some dealers go into it saying "Fuck it, it will help us get units and we can't expect to make money off of those deals".

  6. Recent experience with the Costco Auto Program: Be careful!

ADMIN MOD. Recent experience with the Costco Auto Program: Be careful! [Costco Auto Program] I have used the Costco auto program a few times on new cars. Its a great way to get almost the best price possible without having to deal with bullshit. This last time has me feeling like a bit of a sucker and I wanted to pass along the information:

  7. Got into an odd situation with the Car buying program. Help?

    www.reddit.com/.../comments/18mbm34/got_into_an_odd_situation_with_the_car_buying

No haggling, no hassling. While we usually want to believe that Costco offers good value for money and hassle, the Costco Auto program isn’t the best deal you can get, and isn’t even the best zero-hassle deal you can get. For a purchase as large as a car, you should be calling or emailing several dealers in your area.

  8. Experience with USAA or Costco car buying programs?

Finally since we would rather not pay a company $399 per transaction like Truecar charges, most of us just list our best prices on our own website to just cut out the middle men. With the Costco car buying program how is the dealer choosen. Within 50 miles of me there are a lot of dealers of the same brand.

  9. Has anyone purchased a car through the Costco Auto program?

I’ve had poor results both times using it. Coincidentally at 2 different Mazda dealers 900 miles apart. Both times I ended up negotiating a better price myself. So I learned the costco program price is not the end all be all for a car buying experience and you can still negotiate after seeing the price. 1.

  10. Costco Car Buying Service - Worth Cost of Membership Alone?

    www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/1c4o2tx/costco_car_buying_service_worth_cost_of

It's hard to see what the starting point for savings would be on the car we're looking for without being a member, but I have heard that it can be pretty significant. (and certainly more significant than the $60-120 membership cost.) For what it's worth, our top car choice right now is a new 2024 Subaru Forester.

  11. My experience buying CX-5 through Costco program : r/askcarsales...

My experience buying CX-5 through Costco program. US Sale. In case this is helpful to others, I just successfully purchased a new CX-5 Premium Plus using the Costco Auto Purchase program. In my opinion it was fast and easy, though this is quite a long post describing how it went down. I'm already a Costco member, so this was as simple as going ...
