HP LaserJet 1020 plus laser printer. The HP LaserJet 1020 is a low cost, low volume, monochromatic laser printer. It was a replacement for the HP LaserJet 1012. The production started in June 2005. [1]
The LaserJet 500 Plus (model 2686D) was the largest of the early LaserJet series. LaserJet is a line of laser printers sold by HP Inc. (originally Hewlett-Packard) since 1984.
Following HP's acquisition of Compaq in 2002, this series of notebooks was discontinued, replaced with the HP Pavilion, HP Compaq, and Compaq Presario notebooks. The OmniBook name would later be repurposed for a line of consumer-oriented notebooks in 2024, made to complement (and supersede) the Pavilion and Spectre series of notebooks.

HP LaserJet 4. The HP LaserJet 4 (abbreviated sometimes to LJ4 or HP4) is a group of monochrome laser printers produced in the early to mid-1990s as part of the LaserJet series by Hewlett-Packard (HP). The 4 series has various models, including the standard LaserJet 4 for business use, the 4L for personal use and the 4P for small businesses. [1]
HP developed and provided a wide variety of hardware components, as well as software and related services to consumers, small and medium-sized businesses , and fairly large companies, including customers in government sectors, until the company officially split into Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. in 2015.
PCL 4 was introduced on the HP LaserJet Plus [2] in 1985, adding macros, larger bitmapped fonts and graphics. PCL 4 is still popular for many applications. PCL 5 was released on the HP LaserJet III [2] in March 1990, adding Intellifont font scaling (developed by Compugraphic, now part of Agfa), outline fonts and HP-GL/2 (vector) graphics.
The message is encountered when printing on older HP LaserJet printers such as the LaserJet II, III, and 4 series. It means that the printer is trying to print a document that needs "Letter size" (8½ × 11 in.) paper when no such paper is available. [3] Early LaserJet models used a two-character display for all status messages.
