Brookland, also known as Little Rome or Little Vatican, is a neighborhood located in the Northeast (NE) quadrant of Washington, D.C. Bounded by Fort Totten Metro Train tracks NE, and Brookland CUA Metro train tracks, Taylor Street NE, Rhode Island Avenue NE, South Dakota Avenue NE.
They are Aquidneck Elementary School (grades Pre-K to 3), Forest Avenue Elementary School (grades K–3), Joseph H. Gaudet Middle School (grades 4–8) and Middletown High School (grades 9–12). Middletown is also home to private schools, including All Saints Academy (grades K–8), a Catholic school, [9] and St. George's School (grades 9–12).
Perhaps the most notable are the series of shotgun houses in the 4400 block of Arco Avenue.
