The town hall of the second arrondissement of Paris (French: mairie du deuxième arrondissement de Paris) is the former town hall of the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, at 8 rue de la Banque in Paris. It is one of only four mairies d'arrondissement built before the Second French Empire , together with those of the 5th, 6th, and 9th.

The arrondissement contains the former Paris Bourse (stock exchange) and several banking headquarters, as well as a textile district, known as the Sentier, and the Opéra-Comique's theatre, the Salle Favart. The 2nd arrondissement is the home of Grand Rex, the largest movie theater in Paris. [2]

Ninove means "nieuw weiland" or in English, "new pasture". During Roman rule, Ninove was a small settlement located in the current "Nederwijk". With the arrival of the Franks in the 4th century AD, the settlement grew to a small agricultural town. The area on which Ninove is located was from 843 on part of the Holy Roman Empire.
