The park has a total of seven trails. There is a 2.5-mile (4.0 km) loop trail around Price Lake rated easy. The Boone Fork Loop Trail is five miles (8 km) and considered challenging. The Tanawha Trail is 13.5 miles (21.7 km). It passes under the Linn Cove Viaduct and wraps around Grandfather Mountain. [13]
Around the creek are junctions with the Asutsi Trail and the Upper Boone Fork Trail. Also, a self-registration permit box for Grandfather Mountain is located near the Asutsi Trail junction. The trail winds in and out of rhododendron and laurel thickets, joins with an old logging road, and passes through a hardwood forest.
