Lagoa da Conceição (Portuguese: [laˈɡoɐ dɐ kõsejˈsɐ̃w]) is a district located next to a large lagoon of the same name [1] near the center of Florianópolis, capital city of the state of Santa Catarina, located in the south of Brazil. The small village of Santo António de Lisboa (Saint Anthony of Lisbon) is an example of colonial period architecture and in Ribeirão da Ilha, the oldest part of the capital, the inhabitants speak in an accent closer to the Azorean dialect of the first settlers.
