The Solstice concept shown in 2002 was approved for production as a roadster (2006-2009) and, for a few months, a total of 1,266 coupes (2009) were built in Wilmington, DE before the end of Pontiac. In contrast, over 64,000 Solstice Convertibles were manufactured on that same line.

The Pontiac Executive is an automobile model that was produced by Pontiac from 1967 to 1970. The originally Pontiac operated South Gate plant was part of GM's Southern California Division through 1942. During World War II the plant built Stuart M-5 and M5A1 light tanks at 500 per month.
