Graham Island was named in 1853 by James Charles Prevost, commander of HMS Virago, for Sir James Graham, 2nd Baronet, who was First Lord of the Admiralty at the time. [3]

A member of the Queen Elizabeth Islands and Arctic Archipelago, it is located in Norwegian Bay off the coast of Ellesmere Island. Located at 77°25'N 90°30'W it has an area of 1,378 km 2 (532 sq mi), 55 kilometres (34 mi) long and 40 kilometres (25 mi) wide. [1]
Bryan–College Station is a metropolitan area centering on the twin cities of Bryan and College Station, Texas, in the Brazos Valley region of Texas. The 2010 census placed the population of the three-county metropolitan area at 255,519. [3] The 2019 population estimate was 273,101.
