FM 526 was designated on June 21, 1941, as a spur from US 90 northeast of Houston south 6 miles (9.7 km) to the Market Street Road. On November 19, 1952, the road was rerouted to end at SH 73 (now I-10). On September 18, 1961, the northern terminus was relocated to a new alignment of US 90, replacing FM 2613. The old route is now Oates Road.

Ranch to Market Road 2189 (RM 2189) was designated in Reeves County on August 4, 1971, from I-10, about 3.6 miles (5.8 km) south of I-20, to a point 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southeast as a replacement of a section of US 290, which was rerouted along I-10. RM 2189 was cancelled on July 31, 1974, due to low traffic counts.
Farm to Market Road 850 (FM 850) is a 31.967-mile (51.446 km) state road in Smith and Rusk counties that connects Farm to Market Road 2767 (east of Tyler) with Texas State Highway 135 in Overton. FM 850 was designated on October 29, 1948, to run from SH 31 (later FM 2767, now CR 2347) east of Tyler southeast to New Zion Church.
