In February 2016, Atlanta Ballet announced [4] Gennadi Nedvigin, principal dancer with the San Francisco Ballet would be joining the organization in August 2016. Nedvigin was born in Rostov , Russia , trained with The Bolshoi Ballet Academy and danced with Jeune Ballet de France before joining San Francisco Ballet as a soloist in 1997.

The Atlanta Festival Ballet Company is composed of ten professional dancers and student apprentices who have dedicated themselves to the discipline of dance performance. The Company began as the vision of Co-Artistic Director [1] Gregory Aaron, and made its debut on November 4, 1989, in a full length performance of Cinderella .
The company has been featured in The Washington Post, [2] heralded a "bold, cross-disciplinary dance company" by Dante Zuniga-West of the Eugene Weekly. [3] According to Portland Center Stage Reviews, Ballet Fantastique has "made a name for itself in out-of-the-box revisions of classic story ballets" [4] and is "not your grandmother's Swan Lake."
