I expected more animal interactions. And more slapstick humor around the animals. I also have a hard time believing animal control office is that fresh and clean. They are the dog pound/dog catcher. Anyone ever go to the pound even in a large city? It just takes me out of the show.
Animal Control is so bad it feels like it should be a weird B-plot background show in a much better quality show. The characters all fell like they came straight from a book on writing comedy. The dialogue feels like it's filmed one line at a time instead of characters actually talking to each other.
I recently applied to become a animal control officer for the Los Angeles county. Does animal control officer applicants need to take a polygraph tests just like a police officer would? I read the job description and it says nothing about a polygraph except that they will conduct a very thorough background check.
