School of Chinese medicine at HKBU. The School of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University is a school in Hong Kong that offers full-time degree programmes in Chinese medicine, Biomedical science, and pharmacy in Chinese medicine, also offers part-time programmes in Chinese medicine, pharmacy in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, tui na, orthopaedics and beauty care.
The first school of its kind, the School of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University, was established in 1998. Currently, there are two faculties with academic programmes in western medicine and three schools of Chinese Medicine in the territory.
Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a public liberal arts university with a Christian education heritage in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The university was established as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of American Baptists , who provided both operating and construction funds and personnel to the school in its early years.
The museum was inaugurated on 14 December 2007. Funded through part of the HK$120 million endowment fund from Dr Hung Hin-shiu and his wife Yeung Pong-wah, who made their fortune through the real estate development firm of Shiu Pong Enterprises.
The capital cost of the project is estimated at HK$24.8 million. The revitalisation work was completed in early 2012, and the building is now known as Hong Kong Baptist University School of Chinese Medicine – Lui Seng Chun. [8]
