Kyambogo University Central Library. The university campus is located on Kyambogo Hill, approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi), by road, east of the central business district of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. After completing S4, he joined Kyambogo National Teachers’ College (today Kyambogo University), where he graduated with a Diploma in Secondary Education, in 1972. [ 2 ] In 1977, he went back to Ntare and enrolled into A-Level.

In 1988, the Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE), originally a department at ITEK, was spun off as a separate institution. For twenty years, Katunguka was part of the senior academicians and academic administrators at the university. [2] In February 2014, he was appointed acting vice chancellor of Kyambogo University. [3] In March 2019, he was appointed as Chairman of the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE), for the next five years. [4]
