Edge of Insanity is the first studio album by guitarist Tony MacAlpine, released in 1986 through Shrapnel Records. In 2014, nearly thirty years after its release, MacAlpine performed the album in full during a series of shows in California and Baja California .
He was born in Scotland about the beginning of the 16th century, and graduated at a Scottish university. From 1532 to 1534 he was prior of the Dominican convent of Perth; but having in the latter year been summoned with Alexander Ales and others to answer for heresy before the Bishop of Ross, he left for England.
The MacAlpine surname is still common in Scotland today. The former chiefs apparently had their seat on lands that are now Dunstaffnage Castle in Argyll, which was an early capital of Kenneth MacAlpin, [7] who was King of the Picts and according to myth, the first King of Scots. Violent Machine is the seventh studio album by guitarist Tony MacAlpine, released in 1996 through Metropolis Records (North America) and in 1997 through Victor Entertainment (Japan); it was reissued on May 7, 2002 through Lion Music, [2] with the latter featuring different cover art and having apparently been released without the authorization of MacAlpine or Metropolis.
