Haruki Murakami (村上 春樹, Murakami Haruki, born January 12, 1949 [1]) is a Japanese writer. His novels, essays, and short stories have been best-sellers in Japan and internationally, with his work translated into 50 languages [2] and having sold millions of copies outside Japan.
Mishima began to write his first stories aged 12, taking inspiration from myths (Kojiki, Greek mythology, etc.) and the works of numerous classic Japanese authors, as well as Raymond Radiguet, Jean Cocteau, Oscar Wilde, Rainer Maria Rilke, Thomas Mann, Friedrich Nietzsche, Charles Baudelaire, l'Isle-Adam, and other European authors.

Ishiguro was born in Nagasaki, Japan, on 8 November 1954, [3] the son of Shizuo Ishiguro, a physical oceanographer, and his wife, Shizuko. [4] In 1960, [3] Ishiguro moved with his family to Guildford, Surrey, as his father was invited for research at the National Institute of Oceanography (now the National Oceanography Centre).
