U.S. Highway 11 (US 11) in the U.S. state of Georgia is a 22.8-mile-long (36.7 km) United States Numbered Highway that travels north–south through Dade County in the northwestern part of the state. It runs concurrently with State Route 58 ( SR 58 ) for its entire length.
The road that would eventually be designated as US 76 was established at least as early as 1919 as part of SR 3 from the Tennessee state line to Dalton, and SR 2 from Dalton to Clayton, and possibly farther to the east. [5] Georgia's 1921 state map didn't show the Chatsworth–Blairsville segment of SR 2.
The entire segment from Trenton to Villanow was redesignated as SR 143, and the former State Route 148 (between Ringgold and Ft. Oglethorpe) was newly designated State Route 2 [37] [circular reference]. This segment (From highway 41 north of Ringgold to highway 27 north of Fort Oglethorpe) was called Georgia 2 Alternate.
The first portion of the roadway that is signed as SR 52 today makes its appearance on Georgia state road maps in 1920, when the 13.4 miles (21.6 km) portion of the current route from its western terminus to Chatsworth, which is concurrent with US 76, was already in existence, and signed as part of SR2. [6]
U.S. Route 441 (US 441) in the U.S. state of Georgia is a 354.2-mile-long (570.0 km) north–south United States Highway through the east-central portion of the state. It travels from the Florida state line near the Fargo city area to the North Carolina state line, in the northern part of Dillard.
