General McLane School District offers four different public schools for students in Erie County, Pa. Around 2,100 students from the Edinboro borough, Franklin Township, Washington Township, McKean borough and McKean Township areas attend our schools.
James W. Parker Middle School, one of the best middle schools in Erie County, houses grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 in the General McLane School District. There are approximately 750 students in the school with approximately 60 professional and support staff serving the school community.
Welcome to Edinboro Elementary School – one of the best elementary schools in Erie County, Pennsylvania! Our school consists of kindergarten through fourth grade, with approximately 400 students and 50 professional and support staff. Our school is open weekdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The General McLane School District School Board Directors consists of nine members, each elected for a four-year term of office. Board members serve without compensation and have the primary task of formulating and evaluating all policies necessary for the operation of the school district.
