Vance Air Force Base (IATA: END, ICAO: KEND, FAA LID: END) is a United States Air Force base located in southern Enid, Oklahoma, about 65 mi (105 km) north northwest of Oklahoma City. The base is named after local World War II hero and Medal of Honor recipient, Lieutenant Colonel Leon Robert Vance Jr .

Vance Air Force Base: Enid: Oklahoma: Air Education and Training Command: 71st Flying Training Wing: 71st Flying Training Wing and 5th Flying Training Squadron provide undergraduate pilot training, flying the T-1A Jayhawk, T-6A Texan II and T-38C Talon.
The unit was called to active duty during the Korean War on 1 March 1951 and moved to Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City, South Dakota, to provide support for the Convair B-36 bombers of the 28th Bombardment Wing stationed there. The unit was returned to state control and reorganized on 1 December 1952.
The U.S. 157th Air Refueling Wing, stationed at the base, anticipated 80,000 people in total will attend the air shows Saturday and Sunday, similar to attendance at the last air shows in 2021.

On May 13, 2024 [17] the Sioux Falls Sports Authority announced that the Premier Center had secured the bid to host the 2025 U.S. Olympic team trials for men's and women's curling as well as the U.S. Paralympic team trials for wheelchair mixed doubles curling. The trials will take place in Sioux Falls from November 7-16, 2025.
