The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé is a subcompact executive sedan produced by BMW since 2020. [1] [2] For most markets, the 2 Series Gran Coupé is the smallest four-door sedan offered by BMW, except in China and Mexico where the F52 1 Series sedan was offered until it was discontinued in 2023.
In 2019, the Gran Coupé fastback sedan joined the 2 Series family as a front-wheel drive vehicle based on the 1 Series hatchback and has been marketed as a 4-door coupe. In 2021, BMW released the second-generation 2-door coupé, rear-wheel drive 2 Series in July 2021.
BMW 2 Series (F22/F23) The BMW 2 Series (G42) is the second generation of the BMW 2 Series subcompact executive coupé , the successor in 2021 to the F22 2 Series coupé and convertible. The G42 is the first BMW vehicle designed by BMW of Mexico, and is produced in BMW's plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico since 2 September 2021.
BMW says the 2 Series Gran Coupe's cargo capacity is 15.1 cubic-feet, but the actual space isn't close to the size of other trunks with an equal reported measurement.

In November 2015, BMW unveiled their high-performance version of the 2 Series, the M2, with sales beginning in 2016 and only being available as a 2-door coupe. [ 18 ] [ 19 ] The Competition replaced the standard car in 2018 [ 20 ] [ 21 ] with the CS being revealed in November 2019 and sales beginning in March 2020, with 2,200 units planned.
