Simhika (Sanskrit: सिंहिका, romanized: Siṃhikā) is a rakshasi in Hinduism. She appears in the Ramayana , as a foe of the vanara , Hanuman , by whom she is slain. [ 1 ]

After learning about Sita, Hanuman assumes a gargantuan form and makes a colossal leap across the ocean to Lanka after defeating Surasa, the mother of the nagas, and Simhika, who is sent by the devatas.

After the death of her sons in the Samudra Manthana, Diti grew inconsolable.She begged her husband to grant her a child who would be capable of defeating Indra.In due course, Diti became pregnant and following her husband’s advice, she engaged in tapas and remained chaste.
In the tenth scene, Simhika assumes her terrible form, and carries away Draupadi, who cries for help. In the eleventh scene, the Pandava prince Sahadeva rushes to the aid of Draupadi, and attacks and mutilates Simhika, and rescues Draupadi. The twelfth scene has Sahadeva and Panchali filling in the other Pandavas on what transpired.
