John Harvey McKay (July 5, 1923 – June 10, 2001) was an American football coach. He was the head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) from 1960 to 1975 and of the National Football League 's Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1976 to 1984 .
The team has played 628 games in 40 seasons since joining the NFL. Five Buccaneers coaches, John McKay, Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden, Bruce Arians, and Todd Bowles have taken the Buccaneers to the playoffs, with Gruden and Arians being the only two coaches to win the Super Bowl with the team, at Super Bowl XXXVII and Super Bowl LV respectively.
